- Agapi Beach is proud to receive the TUI Umwelt Champion Award and ranks in the nineteenth position amongst 100 hotels worldwide.
- Aegean Airlines (a Star Alliance member) will be operating daily non-stop flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Heraklion, Crete. The service launches on May 1, 2012. Also, beginning the 25th of March 2012 and for the rest of the summer season, Aegean will operate twice weekly non-stop flights between Munich and Heraklion, Crete.
- The International Day of Tourism was celebrated with an exhibition of local Cretan Handicrafts, traditional Cretan pies, sweets and other celebrated delicacies. Guests also enjoyed rakomelo a local alcoholic drink produced from honey.
- Agapi Beach celebrates the World Environment Day. As part of its annual activities, staff and guests have helped in cleaning Ammoudara beach. Our young guests participated in drawing competitions and theatrical performances with the environment as their main theme.
